WFSE (88.9 FM), known as Fighting Scots Radio, is the college radio station of PennWest Edinboro in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. It broadcasts a broad rock format, including alternative and indie music, and features specialty shows with live sports, sports talk, news, and other genres. The station is student-led with a faculty advisor.

Broadcasting from Compton Hall on campus, WFSE transmits from a facility off the I-79 southbound ramp near US 6N. The station has served the campus and the local community since 1978 and also streams 24/7 at edinboronow.com, the university’s campus media hub. Staffing is open to all majors, with on-air and off-air roles and practicum opportunities in management.

Notable alumni include the first student General Manager, John Evans, who later served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (2001–2013), and Sean Peebles, a 1996 alumnus who is the public address announcer for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The transmitter is unusual: it sits on a repurposed sign frame at a former truck stop near the intersection of US 6N and the I-79 southbound on-ramp. A tri-bay transmitting antenna is attached to the frame, with the studio-transmitter link receiver on the opposite side.

Technical notes: WFSE broadcasts at 88.9 MHz with 3,000 watts of power, a height above average terrain of 91 meters, and is licensed by the FCC (Facility ID 18665, Class A). The call sign honors the Fighting Scots of Edinboro. The former frequency was 88.7 MHz, and the first air date was April 3, 1979.
