WFKN (1220 AM) is a radio station in Franklin, Kentucky, broadcasting country music as “The Best Country Around.” It is owned by Paxton Media Group (WFKN, LLC) and carries programming from Cumulus Media Networks’ Best Country Today and ABC Radio. The station operates on 1220 kHz with 250 watts by day and 90 watts at night and is a Class D facility (FCC ID 24245). The transmitter is located at 36°44′20″N 86°34′42″W, and WFKN also streams on translator W222CZ at 92.3 FM in Franklin.

WFKN began in April 1954, owned by the Franklin Favorite, a weekly newspaper. In 1974 it was acquired by the Henderson Gleaner-Journal but remained under the control of the Favorite. For many years, WFKN did not have an FM companion until a low-power translator was added in the mid-2010s. The Franklin Favorite newspaper shares ownership with WFKN.
