Samara Halperin
Samara Halperin is a Bay Area video and film artist whose work centers on the queer community and often uses stop-motion animation. They use video to push for more queer representation in media. They have taught video classes at Mills College since 2002. They hold a BFA from RISD and an MFA from the California College of the Arts. In 2007, they won the Goldie Award for outstanding achievements in the arts from the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
