W. Downwood

W. Downwood was a 19th‑century footballer who played as a right‑half for Burslem Port Vale. He joined the club in June 1892 and made his debut on 12 September 1892 in a 2–0 loss to Ardwick at Hyde Road. He played a handful of league and FA Cup matches that season before being released at the end of the year.
