Vlatko Kovačević (born 26 March 1942 in Dubrovnik) is a Croatian chess grandmaster. He earned the grandmaster title in 1976. One of his notable moments came in 1970 when he tied for 9th–11th in Rovinj–Zagreb but defeated Bobby Fischer in their individual game.
