Vila João Pessoa is a neighborhood in Porto Alegre, the capital of the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. It was created on December 7, 1959, by Law 2022.

In 2019, 13,041 people lived there, in an area of 112.2 hectares, giving a population density of about 11,623 per square kilometer. The illiteracy rate was 3.18%, slightly lower than the city’s 3.86%. The average household income was 2.88 times the minimum wage. The Municipal Human Development Index (MHDI) was 0.770, lower than the city’s 0.805.
