Vernon N. Bennett

Vernon Nile Bennett (August 18, 1936 – November 30, 2008) was an American politician from Iowa. Born in Winterset, Iowa, he worked as a union representative. Bennett served as a Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 1967 to 1973, first in the 37th district (1967–1971) and then in the 59th district (1971–1973). He died in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 72.
