Gunnar Aase

Gunnar Aase (born 29 September 1971) is a Norwegian former footballer who played as a right midfielder. He spent his entire senior club career with Viking FK, from 1990 to 2000, making 185 league appearances and scoring 40 goals. He helped Viking win the Norwegian Premier League in 1991. Aase retired after the 2000 season, which ended with Viking losing the Norwegian Cup Final and a salary dispute with the club.

Internationally, Aase played for Norway at youth level and earned three senior caps in 1995, scoring one goal. After his playing days, he moved into coaching and, in 2003, coached Sola FK as a joint head coach with Børre Meinseth.
