Velleia is a group of about 30 herb species in the plant family Goodeniaceae. It was first described in 1798 by James Edward Smith in the Transactions of the Linnean Society of London. The name honours Thomas Velley. Plants of the World Online now treats Velleia as a synonym of Goodenia, and as of March 2024 all species once placed in Velleia are included in Goodenia.
