Vegucated
Vegucated is a 2011 American documentary about trying a vegan diet. Directed and written by Marisa Miller Wolfson, the film follows three meat-loving New Yorkers who agree to adopt vegan meals for six weeks, exploring health, ethics, and environmental reasons to go vegan and the challenges of changing eating habits. The 76-minute English-language film premiered at the Toronto Independent Film Festival on September 10, 2011. It features Tesla Lobo, Brian Flegel, Ellen Mausner, Marisa Miller Wolfson, Joel Fuhrman, and T. Colin Campbell, with cinematography by John Pierce.
A companion cookbook, The Vegucated Family Table, was published in 2020. The film has been recognized by VegNews as a top vegan documentary to stream (2024), and the cookbook was listed among the Top 100 Vegan Cookbooks of All Time (2024).
