Eygliers
Eygliers (Occitan: Aigliers) is a small commune in southeastern France, in the Hautes-Alpes department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The Guil river forms all of the commune’s southeastern and southern borders, and the Durance river forms part of its western border. Most residents live in the southwestern part near where the two rivers meet. The commune is northwest of the larger town Guillestre and includes the fortress town Mont-Dauphin. Eygliers covers about 130 square kilometers and sits at elevations from 881 to 2,670 meters (average about 1,029 m). As of 2023, about 882 people live there. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Anne Geneviève Chouvet. The postal code is 05600 and the INSEE code is 05052.
