You Can Be an Angel 2
You Can Be an Angel 2 (Chinese: 你也可以是天使2) is a Singaporean nursing-themed medical romance series that aired on Mediacorp Channel 8 in 2016. It’s the second season of the You Can Be an Angel series and follows nurses and hospital life with a mix of medical care and personal relationships. The show ran from November 1 to November 28, 2016, with 20 episodes of about 45 minutes each.
The main cast includes Zoe Tay, Xiang Yun, Rebecca Lim, Bryan Wong, Aloysius Pang, Xu Bin and Carrie Wong. There are also cameos by Elvin Ng and Sheila Sim. The Chinese title is 你也可以是天使2.
Produced by Mediacorp in collaboration with Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) and supported by the MOH’s Care To Go Beyond movement, the series aims to depict nursing accurately and highlight the rewarding career paths in nursing.
Before shooting, the cast took part in nursing training, including a three-hour course at Yishun Community Hospital covering topics like hand hygiene, wound care, CPR, health checkups, CADD pumps and PCA. A lensing ceremony was held on June 30, 2016, with attendance from Zoe Tay, Xiang Yun, Bryan Wong, Rebecca Lim, Xu Bin, Aloysius Pang, Carrie Wong and others. MOH’s Chief Nursing Officer Tan Soh Chin credited the show for portraying nursing well and noted positive results in nursing education and recruitment since the first season.
The series is related to You Can Be an Angel Too (2015) and to You Can Be An Angel 3 (2018) and You Can Be An Angel 4 (2022). The opening theme is “Angel” by Kelly Poon, and the ending theme is “我们都没错” by Pierre Zhang.
