Novocheboksarsk is a city in the Chuvashia region of Russia. It sits on the southern bank of the Volga River, about 3 kilometers east of Cheboksary, the republic’s capital. The 2010 census recorded a population of 124,097, with an estimated population around 120,000 in 2025.

History
- The city was founded on November 18, 1960, as a satellite town called Sputnik, designed by architects from Leningrad.
- It grew by absorbing nearby villages and, on August 11, 1965, was given administrative city status.
- It incorporated several surrounding areas, including Bannovo, Ivanovo, Oldeyevo, and Yandashevo.
- On December 27, 1971, it was granted city status within the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
- The population surpassed 100,000 in 1983.
- A monument to I. S. Semenovu was erected in 1985 on Vinokurova Street.
