Gregory Thomas Brown (born May 4, 1980) is an American baseball coach currently serving as the Chicago Cubs’ assistant to the general manager and minor league hitting coordinator. He previously was the Cubs’ major league hitting coach in 2022.

Brown was born in Hollywood, Florida. He played college baseball at Lynn University and then played in the Florida Marlins organization from 2003 to 2006. After his playing days, he became a scout for the Houston Astros. He was the head coach at Nova Southeastern University from 2011 to 2019, then worked as the Tampa Bay Rays’ minor league hitting coordinator before joining the Cubs.

The Cubs hired Brown as their major league hitting coach after the 2021 season. On October 28, 2022, it was announced that he would not return to the role for the 2023 season, and Dustin Kelly would take over.
