Valley Grande is a small city in Dallas County, Alabama, just north of Selma. It became an official city in 2003 and uses a mayor-council government. The current mayor is John Hatfield.

The city covers about 33.8 square miles, mostly land, and sits about 259 feet above sea level. It has a population of about 4,190 people in 2020 and an estimated 3,850 residents in 2025.

Valley Grande includes the historic community of Summerfield, which started as Valley Creek and was renamed Summerfield in 1845 to honor Methodist preacher John Summerfield. The area was once a prosperous cotton town. The historic core of Summerfield is preserved and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Education in Valley Grande is served by Valley Grande Elementary School and Martin Middle School, both in the city. Most high school students attend Dallas County High School in Plantersville.
