Sylviana Murni (born 11 October 1958 in Jakarta) is an Indonesian politician and bureaucrat who represented Jakarta in the Regional Representative Council from 2019 to 2024. She was the mayor of Central Jakarta from 2008 to 2010, becoming the first woman to lead one of Jakarta’s five city administrations. She also ran as a deputy governor candidate in the 2017 Jakarta election.

She is a member of the Demokrat party. She studied law at Jayabaya University, earned a master’s in economics from the University of Indonesia, and holds a doctorate from Jakarta State University. In 1981 she won the Mr. & Miss Jakarta contest while still in university. She began working for Jakarta’s government in 1985 and rose through the ranks, including a term in the Jakarta Regional People’s Representative Council (1997–1999).

Before becoming mayor, she headed several departments in education and social development. After leaving the mayor’s office in 2010, she later served as governor’s deputy for tourism and culture. She left civil service in 2016 to run in the 2017 Jakarta gubernatorial election, which did not win. In 2019 she won a seat in the Regional Representative Council with 455,182 votes, finishing fourth among Jakarta’s four seats. In 2024 she ran for re-election but finished fifth, so she did not return.
