Vale do Mucuri, or the Mucuri River Valley, is one of the twelve mesoregions of Minas Gerais, Brazil. It covers about 20,081 square kilometers and has around 370,000 residents (2010). The population density is roughly 18 people per square kilometer. The region includes 23 municipalities, divided into two microregions. It is located in the southeast of Minas Gerais, along the Mucuri River. Coordinates: about 17.86°S, 41.50°W. Time zone is BRT (UTC-3), with daylight saving time BRST (UTC-2).
