T.J. Ackerman
T.J. Ackerman, born Travis James Ackerman on August 20, 1975, is a former American football offensive tackle. He played in the Canadian Football League for the Toronto Argonauts, appearing in five games during the 1999 season. He is the younger brother of former NFL offensive lineman Tom Ackerman.
Ackerman grew up in Bellingham, Washington, and attended Nooksack Valley High School, where he was a three-year varsity starter on both the offensive and defensive lines. He graduated in 1994, earning Whatcom County League Offensive Player of the Year honors and AP All-State First Team selections on both sides of the ball. He also lettered in basketball for four years as a center.
He played college football at Eastern Washington University. After his playing days, Ackerman became a real estate agent and serves as the offensive coordinator for the Nooksack Valley Pioneers, while also working as an assistant coach since 2000.
