Val Müstair is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Grisons, in the Engiadina Bassa/Val Müstair region. It was formed on January 1, 2009 by joining six villages: Tschierv, Fuldera, Lü, Valchava, Santa Maria Val Müstair and Müstair. The valley sits high in the Swiss Alps and connects the Fuorn Pass to South Tyrol in Italy. Most of the valley is in Switzerland, with a small part in Italy. The Rom river runs through it.

The Benedictine Saint John Monastery at Müstair is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The main villages are Tschierv, Valchava, Sta. Maria Val Müstair, Müstair, and Taufers im Münstertal in South Tyrol. There are hiking trails, and above Tschierv is a small ski area on the Minschuns.

Most residents speak Romansh, with a large German-speaking minority.

In 2009 the Alpine Astrovillage Lü-Stailas opened at about 2,000 meters, offering telescopes and astronomy courses.

Val Müstair has hosted stages of the Tour de Ski, a cross-country skiing event. The area is linked to the writer Donna Leon.
