Tsukitani Hatsuko
Tsukitani Hatsuko (月谷初子) (1869–1945) was a Japanese ceramics artist. Born in Tokyo, she studied sculpture and trained at several kilns. From 1915 to 1932, she established ceramic studios in Gokiso and Moriyama, Nagoya. She was a pioneer among women in sculpture and pottery. Her work is known as Tsukitani ware (月谷焼).
