Vadodara Innovation Council (VIC) was founded in May 2011 in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. It is a non-profit organization linked to the National Innovation Council. Its goal is to build an innovative, curious, and questioning society in the Vadodara region.

On 16 June 2013, Sam Pitroda launched an initiative to make Vadodara an innovative city.

VIC started the Tod Fod Jod Centre (TFJC) for school students, the second such center in India after Delhi. In this program, students take apart devices, learn how the parts work, understand the science and engineering behind them, and then reassemble them. In the first phase, they worked with a ceiling fan, a computer, a clock, a bicycle, and a telephone.

VIC partnered with the Vadodara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) for VCCI Expo 2014 (27 November to 1 December 2014), where 56 participants showcased their innovations or prototypes. The model aims to be replicated in 1,000 Indian cities. In the first phase, 31 schools participated, including 11 municipal (government) schools.
