The O.E. Meinzer Award is an annual prize from the Hydrogeology Division of the Geological Society of America. It was started in 1965 and is named after Oscar Edward Meinzer, often called the father of modern groundwater hydrology. The award honors authors whose publications have greatly advanced hydrogeology or a related field. Since 1973, the list of winners is available on the National Ground Water Association website.
