VH1 Italia was a 24-hour Italian music channel operated by Paramount Networks EMEAA. It launched on 1 July 2016, replacing the Italian MTV Music that started on 1 March 2011 on digital terrestrial TV. The channel was available across Italy over the air and used the slogan “Music 4 Life” with VH1 branding. It mixed Italian and international music videos and featured Italian artists in segments to promote the channel, keeping a music-video focus rather than the reality TV content of the American VH1. VH1 Italia closed on 7 January 2024. It was available on TIMB 3, channel 167 (SD) and offered 576i SD and 1080i HD formats. The service was part of Paramount Networks EMEAA and had sister channels including MTV, MTV Music, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. The programming language was Italian, and the operation was based in Italy.
