Colin Ingram
Colin Alexander Ingram (born 3 July 1985) is a South African cricketer who plays for Glamorgan. A left‑handed batsman and occasional leg‑spinner, he represented South Africa in ODIs and T20Is from 2010 to 2013. He made a memorable ODI debut against Zimbabwe, scoring 124 and becoming the first South African to hit a century on ODI debut.
Ingram grew up in Port Elizabeth, where he attended Woodridge College and excelled in school cricket, eventually captaining the First XI. He played for Eastern Province and the Warriors in South Africa and won a scholarship to the University of the Free State in 2004.
Apart from his international career, Ingram has had a busy global franchise career. He has appeared in the Indian Premier League (Delhi Capitals), Big Bash League (Adelaide Strikers), Pakistan Super League (Karachi Kings) and other leagues in the Caribbean, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. He joined Glamorgan in 2014 as a Kolpak player and became a key player for the county. His 2015 season was standout, and in 2024 he was named Glamorgan’s player of the season after scoring 2,001 runs in all formats. He signed a new two-year contract with Glamorgan in October 2024.
In domestic cricket, he also captained the Warriors and played in the 2010 Champions League Twenty20.
