UFC on ESPN: Ribas vs. Namajunas, also known as UFC on ESPN 53 and UFC Vegas 89, took place on March 23, 2024, at the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Nevada. The main event was a women’s flyweight bout between Amanda Ribas and Rose Namajunas.
Card changes and replacements:
- Chris Barnett vs. Mohammed Usman was scrapped when Barnett withdrew; Mick Parkin replaced him.
- Edmen Shahbazyan vs. Dusko Todorović was replaced by A.J. Dobson after Todorović suffered a knee injury.

- The event featured the UFC’s first bite-related disqualification when Igor Severino bit André Lima, causing Lima to win by disqualification. Dana White awarded Lima a $50,000 Bite of the Night bonus. Severino was released by the UFC, and the Nevada Athletic Commission planned to withhold his purse and impose a heavy fine and suspension at its next meeting.
