Brendan Gall (born September 2, 1978) is a Canadian writer, actor and producer based in Toronto. He studied at George Brown Theatre School. Gall has written or produced for TV shows such as Blindspot, The L.A. Complex and Open Heart, as well as the CBC radio drama Afghanada, and he has worked on films like The Go-Getters and Dakota. His plays include Alias Godot, A Quiet Place, Panhandled and Wide Awake Hearts. As an actor, he has had lead or recurring roles on Remedy and Overruled!, with guest appearances on Covert Affairs, Stargate: Atlantis and other series. He was nominated for the 2014 Dora Mavor Moore Award for Best Actor for Lungs and for several other plays, including Alias Godot, A Quiet Place, The Gladstone Variations and Wide Awake Hearts. Gall served as playwright-in-residence at Tarragon Theatre from 2007 to 2017 and directed his own theatre companies, Single Threat and The Room. His collection Minor Complications: Two Plays, published by Coach House Books in 2010, features Wide Awake Hearts and A Quiet Place and was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award in 2011. He has also been nominated twice for the K.M. Hunter Artist Award.
