Tungun - Thosne Khola Hydropower Station
Tungun - Thosne Khola Hydropower Station (Nepali: तुगुन ठोसे खोला जलविद्युत आयोजना) is a small run-of-the-river hydroelectric plant in Lalitpur District, Nepal. It uses water from the Tugun River to generate 4.36 MW of electricity. The plant is owned by Khani Khola Hydropower Company Ltd, an independent power producer in Nepal. It began generating electricity on 2073-08-09 BS. The generation licence expires on 2104-11-02 BS, after which ownership will be transferred to the government. The facility has a gravity dam and is connected to Nepal’s national grid, selling power to the Nepal Electricity Authority.
