Troublemaker is a song by Weezer from their 2008 album Weezer (The Red Album). It was released as a digital single on May 20, 2008 and was the album’s second single. The track reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart after debuting at No. 39 in the week of July 26, 2008. It was originally planned to be the first single, but Pork and Beans was released first. Rivers Cuomo has said the song, like others on The Red Album, was influenced by Eminem’s rhyming style. An acoustic version was performed on SiriusXM’s Alternative Nation on May 30, 2008.

Troublemaker was later released as a downloadable track for Rock Band and Tap Tap Revenge. The song was used in CBS’s The Mentalist promos in September 2008 and in the Fired Up trailer. It also appeared in Warren Miller’s Children of Winter, a documentary that includes The Greatest Man That Ever Lived.

Remixes were released on a promo EP. Fans were invited to take part in the music video, directed by The Malloys and filmed outside The Forum in Inglewood, California. The video shows the band performing and fans taking part in Guinness World Record attempts, such as the Largest Air Guitar Ensemble and the Most People in a Custard Pie Fight. The video was released on October 6, 2008.
