Abbey Rangers F.C.
Abbey Rangers Football Club is a football team based in Addlestone, England. They play at Addlestone Moor and compete in the Combined Counties League Premier Division South, finishing 11th of 20 in 2024–25. The club was founded in 1976 as a youth club for boys aged 7–16 and was named after nearby Chertsey Abbey.
Abbey Rangers worked their way up through many local leagues. They won Surrey & Hants Border League Division One in 2004–05, then moved to the Guildford & Woking Alliance Division One and won it at the first attempt to gain promotion. They then moved to the Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) Premier Division, winning that division and the League Cup in their first season and earning another promotion. After finishing second in the Premier Division in 2010–11, they joined the Surrey Elite Intermediate League. In 2014–15 they were promoted to Division One of the Combined Counties League, and in their first season there they finished third, earning promotion to the Premier Division.
Abbey Rangers first entered the FA Cup in 2016–17. In 2021 the league was reorganised and they were placed in the Premier Division North, before being moved to the Premier Division South in 2022.
The club’s chairman is Nick Riley and the manager is Adam Bessent.
