Asia Tour 2007 A: Tour of Secret was Ayumi Hamasaki’s first Asia-wide concert tour, supporting her 2006 album Secret. The tour ran from March 10 to June 10, 2007, with 16 shows: 13 in Japan, 2 in China, and 1 in Taiwan.

This tour marked Hamasaki’s first time performing outside Japan, expanding beyond her all-Japan tours. The idea was announced during Avex’s 2006 a-nation events, and by December 2006 she confirmed a first Asia tour for 2007.

The stops in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Shanghai drew huge attention. In Taipei, crowds and media coverage were intense, and Hamasaki even spoke some Mandarin during the encore. Tickets sold out quickly across the region—about 10,000 in Taiwan, 6,000 in Hong Kong, and 7,000 in Shanghai. In Hong Kong, security was stepped up, and Hamasaki stayed active with fans and media. She also visited Shanghai for a press conference and wore a qipao for the event. Venues in Singapore and Beijing could not be scheduled due to venue availability, including Olympic-related rebuilding in Beijing at the time.

The tour also featured Ayumi Hamasaki’s collaboration with Hello Kitty, creating the Ayumi Hamasaki x Hello Kitty character “ayupan.” The collaboration was announced in March 2007 and spawned tour goods and other projects.

A live concert DVD and VCD followed. The DVD was released in early 2008 (Japan on March 12, Taiwan on March 21, and Hong Kong on March 25), with a Hong Kong VCD on March 28. The release includes about 120 minutes of concert footage plus a 150-day tour documentary, totaling roughly three and a half hours of content. Viewers can watch the concert with documentary segments interspersed or after the main performance, and the packaging featured a special sleeve.
