Tottenham Railers
The Tottenham Railers are a Canadian junior ice hockey team from New Tecumseth, Ontario. They play in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL), in the South division. Founded in 2014, they host games at the Tottenham Community and Fitness Centre. Team colors are white, navy, and red. Owner and general manager: Micheal Prock (since 2023). Head coach: Jessie Gatt (2024–25).
Franchise history
- 2014–2020: Tottenham Steam. Joined the GMHL in 2014. Home debut on September 6, 2014, a 7–5 win over the Bradford Bulls. First goal scored by Brian Rupp. Won the Russell Cup in 2016. Ownership changed to the DaSilva family later that year.
- 2020–2023: Tottenham Thunder. Briefly rebranded as Tottenham Express in April 2020. 2020–21 season delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- 2023–present: Tottenham Railers. Rebranded to honor both the Steam legacy and Tottenham’s railroading history. Vito Scaringi named head coach in May 2023; ownership transferred to Micheal and Beth Prock.
