Hajduk Split's 50th season in club history and their 15th in the Yugoslav First League. The club’s chairman was Petar Alfirević and the manager was Milovan Ćirić. In the First League they finished 5th, and in the Yugoslav Cup they were runners-up. The top scorer was Andrija Anković, with 15 goals in the league and 18 in all competitions.
