2016–17 Central Michigan Chippewas women's basketball team
The 2016–17 Central Michigan Chippewas women's basketball team represented Central Michigan University in the 2016–17 season. Led by 10th-year head coach Sue Guevara, they played home games at McGuirk Arena as part of the MAC West Division. They finished 23–9 overall, 15–3 in MAC play, earning the MAC West Division title and the MAC regular-season championship. As the top seed in the MAC tournament, they were upset by Western Michigan in the quarterfinals. They received an automatic bid to the 2017 Women's National Invitation Tournament, where they lost in the first round to Wright State.
