Tony Boselli
Tony Boselli is an American football executive and former tackle who is the Jacksonville Jaguars’ executive vice president of football operations. He was born on April 17, 1972, in Modesto, California, and he stood 6 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 322 pounds during his playing days.
Boselli played high school football in Boulder, Colorado, and college football at USC from 1991 to 1994, where he earned multiple honors, including Morris Trophy in 1994 and both first-team All-American selections. He was the Jaguars’ first-ever draft pick, selected second overall in the 1995 NFL draft.
With the Jaguars from 1995 to 2001, Boselli became one of the franchise’s best players, earning five Pro Bowls and three first-team All-Pro honors and helping the team reach two AFC Championship Games. He then joined the Houston Texans in 2002 as the first pick in the expansion draft, but injuries kept him from playing for them and he retired in 2003.
Boselli is the first Jaguar to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which occurred in 2022. He had previously been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2014 and the Jaguars’ Pride of the Jaguars Hall of Fame in 2006. After his playing career, he worked in media with Fox and Westwood One and returned to the Jaguars’ radio broadcast team in 2013. He and former teammate Mark Brunell also own Whataburger franchises in the Jacksonville area, and he has been involved with Mattress Firm stores and the marketing firm IF Marketing.
In 1995, Boselli started the Boselli Foundation to help at-risk youth, and he has remained active with the charity, including renovation projects for community centers. He has lived in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, with his wife Angi and their five children since 2005. He has also taken up triathlons and has lost significant weight in recent years. In 2025, he returned to the Jaguars as executive vice president of football operations.
