Yau-chun (Y.C.) Wong (1921–2000) was a Chinese-born American architect who mainly worked in Chicago. He was born in Canton, China, and earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from National Central University in 1945 (now Southeast University). After moving to the United States, he studied under Ludwig Mies van der Rohe at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. In 1951 he earned a master’s degree and worked with Mies van der Rohe until 1959, when he started his own practice. Wong became known for his Atrium Houses in the 1960s. He is buried in the crypt at the First Unitarian Church of Chicago.
