Tommy Howell (Thomas Howell) was a professional rugby league player in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He played as a centre for Wakefield Trinity from 1895 to 1900, making 163 appearances and scoring 14 tries and 15 goals (0 field goals) for 20 points.

He took part in Wakefield Trinity’s first Northern Union match, a 0–11 defeat to Bradford F.C. at Park Avenue on Saturday, September 7, 1895, during the club’s inaugural 1895–96 season.

Notes: record-keeping of drop-goals and some scoring details from that era is imperfect, and the rules for scoring changed over time (field-goals were still valid until the 1949–50 season).
