Schae Harrison
Schae Harrison (born Deborah Schaeffer on April 27, 1962) is an American actress from Anaheim Hills, California. She is best known for playing Darla Einstein-Forrester on the daytime soap The Bold and the Beautiful from 1989 to 2006, with brief returns in 2007, 2014, and 2015.
Harrison began dancing at age four and trained in many styles. Her innovative dance work led to a spot with the Seattle Seahawks’ cheerleading-dance squad for over three years. She also worked as a fashion model, hosted a cable aerobics show, supported the National Special Olympics, and was a Northwest Airlines flight attendant.
She was discovered while studying acting at The Actors Workshop by CBS Casting Director Christy Dooley, which brought her the role on The Bold and the Beautiful. She was under contract from 1989 to 1996 and again from 2003 to 2006, returning for occasional episodes in 2007, 2014, and 2015.
Her other work includes films such as Twice in a Lifetime and Magic Island, and appearances on Night Court, General Hospital, Who’s the Boss?, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Freddy’s Nightmares, and Throb. She also performed on Circus of the Stars and sang on The Bold and the Beautiful Christmas Album.
Harrison is engaged to former B&B co-star Mick Cain, and they have a son, Haven Jude Cain, born December 2003; Haven briefly played her character’s daughter on The Bold and the Beautiful. The family lives in Southern California.
In February 2019, it was disclosed that Harrison has chronic fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, which have limited her ability to work.
