Tom Liston
Tom Liston is the founder and owner of Bad Wolf Security, a network security consulting firm based in Johnsburg, Illinois. He created LaBrea, the first open-source network tarpit, which earned him finalist recognition for eWeek and PC Magazine’s Innovations In Infrastructure (i3) award in 2002.
Liston works with the SANS Institute’s Internet Storm Center as a handler, where he helps address security issues and writes a series of articles called “Follow the Bouncing Malware.”
He is also the co-author, with Ed Skoudis, of the second edition of Counter Hack Reloaded: A Step-by-Step Guide to Computer Attacks and Effective Defenses.
