Pignan
Pignan is a town and commune in southern France. It is in the Hérault department of the Occitanie region and is part of the Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole intercommunal structure, which includes Montpellier and nearby towns.
The town covers 120.32 square kilometers. In 2023, 8,431 people lived there, giving a density of about 415 inhabitants per square kilometer. Elevation ranges from 29 to 217 meters above sea level.
The current mayor is Michelle Cassar, serving the 2020–2026 term. In Occitan, the town is called Pinhan.
