Duo 5
Duo 5 is a Baltic TV channel from Estonia. It is owned by Duo Media Networks, part of the Postimees Grupp and the Kanal 2 family. The channel launched on 8 June 2011 as Kanal 12, after Kanal 2 pushed for such a channel since 2007. In its launch month it aired two Estonian music festivals, Punk Music Festival and Rabarock. On 30 April 2024, Duo 5 expanded to Latvia and Lithuania, replacing the Russian-language Kanal 7+. It now serves viewers in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania with local feeds in Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian. The programming focuses on reality shows and series aimed at men; the Latvian and Lithuanian feeds emphasize true crime documentaries. The channel broadcasts in 1080i HDTV and is available on digital terrestrial TV (no analogue) in the three countries. The headquarters are in Tallinn, Estonia. It has several sister channels, including Kanal 2, Duo 3, Duo 4, Duo 6, Kanal 7, Kino 7, MyHits, Eesti Kanal, SmartZone, KidZone Max, KidZone Mini, FilmZone and FilmZone Plus.
