Tillie's Tomato Surprise
Tillie's Tomato Surprise is a 1915 silent comedy and a sequel to Tillie's Punctured Romance. Marie Dressler stars again as Tillie. The film was produced by Lubin Manufacturing Company, directed by Howell Hansel, and written by Acton Davies. The supporting cast includes Colin Campbell, Eleanor Fairbanks, Sarah McVicker, and Clara Lambert. It opened in the United States on September 27, 1915. Originally planned as a six-reel movie, only one reel survives and is kept at the Library of Congress. A follow-up featuring Dressler as Tillie, but with a different last name, appeared two years later in Tillie Wakes Up.
