Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Huxley (died 4 November 1826 in Halifax) was a British Army officer. He joined the 87th Foot Regiment in 1799, became a captain in the 4th West India Regiment in 1808, and later served as a captain in the 70th Foot in 1819. While with the 70th Regiment, he married Jessie Scott, the niece of Sir Walter Scott, in 1819. He later served as Military Secretary to Lord Dalhousie, Governor General of British North America. In 1826 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel and continued as Military Secretary. Sir Walter Scott described him as "a very gentleman-like man." He died by suicide on 4 November 1826 and was buried in the Old Burying Ground.
