The Power of Love: The Best of Jennifer Rush
The Power of Love: The Best of Jennifer Rush is a compilation album by American singer Jennifer Rush, released in 2000 by Columbia/Sony. It was the third full-priced compilation Sony released after Rush left Columbia in 1989, and the first one handled by Sony U.K. Previously, Sony Germany had issued two earlier compilations of Rush’s work: The Power of Jennifer Rush (1991) and The Best of Jennifer Rush (1999).
For the U.K. edition, Sony U.K. focused on Rush’s success in Britain and opened the album with her biggest UK hit, The Power of Love. The versions of The Power of Love and Ring of Ice on this collection are the 7" mixes remixed by Walter Samuel, not the original German 7" mixes.
An expanded “anniversary edition” was released digitally on December 13, 2024. The new edition adds Ave Maria (Survivors of a Different Kind), Come Give Me Your Hand, Madonna’s Eyes, 25 Lovers, Wings of Desire, Si Tu Eres Mi Hombre Y Yo Tu Mujer (the Spanish version of The Power of Love) and a Stereoact remix of Ring of Ice, but removes Pleasure and Down to You.
