Chandai Dam
Chandai Dam is an earth-fill dam on the Chandai Nalla river near Varora in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra, India. It was opened in 1983 and is managed by the Government of Maharashtra. The dam stands about 11.9 meters high and is around 1.83 kilometers long. It creates a large reservoir used mainly for irrigation, helping farmers in the region. Chandai Dam is part of Maharashtra’s network of dams and appears in lists of reservoirs and dams in India. Not to be confused with Chandani Dam.
