Sätra is a suburb in the Söderort district of Stockholm, Sweden. It is bordered to the north by Lake Mälaren and to the south by Södertalje Road, which is part of European routes E4 and E20. Sätra also borders the districts of Bredäng and Skärholmen, as well as Segeltorp in Huddinge municipality and Kungshatt in Ekerö municipality.

The City of Stockholm bought the land in 1934, and a new plan for Sätra was drawn up the next day. Construction began in 1964, and four years later the district was almost finished.

The main hub is Sätra station and Sätra Centrum, located just south of the area’s industrial buildings. Sätra metro station is on the Red Line of the Stockholm Metro. It opened in 1965 as the southwest terminus of the extension from Örnsberg, and in 1967 the line was extended to Skärholmen.
