The Collection is a two‑CD compilation by Greek composer Vangelis, released on 23 July 2012. It gathers 31 tracks from his film scores, solo albums and collaborations, and includes one new track, "Remembering"—a mix of ethereal chimes and jaunty sax. For the first time on an official release, an extended version of "Blade Runner (Main Titles)" is included. The album was issued to coincide with the 2012 Summer Olympics, where Vangelis’s music from Chariots of Fire was used.

Reception was generally positive. Jonny Trunk of Record Collector highlighted Remembering as unreleased material and noted a blend of obvious classics with lesser-known cues like "Theme From Bitter Moon" and instrumental pieces such as "La Petite Fille de la Mer" and "To the Unknown Man," awarding it 4/5 stars. Mike Diver of the BBC described the collection as a good entry point for beginners, though not the most essential set; he noted Blade Runner selections and some Jon Anderson songs don’t date as well, but praised "La Petite Fille de la Mer" (written in 1973) among the highlights.

Details: The Collection runs 2 hours 35 minutes and features electronica and classical music. It was released by Rhino UK, produced by Vangelis, and recorded at Electric Light Studios (mastered for the release). It sits in Vangelis’s discography between El Greco (2007) and Chariots of Fire: Music from the Stage Show (2012).
