Tesfay Gidey Hailemichael
Major General Tesfay Gidey Hailemichael is an Ethiopian military officer in the Ethiopian National Defense Force. He served as the Force Commander of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) from February 23, 2017, to April 4, 2018. He was appointed by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, taking over from Hassen Ebrahim Mussa and later handing over to Gebre Adhana Woldezgu. While in Abyei, he started an environmental cleaning campaign to improve the town and remove breeding sites for pests.
