Terje Ellingsen, born 13 January 1971, is a Norwegian former footballer who played mainly as a forward and winger. He started his career with Andenes IL in the lower leagues and moved to Narvik to attend upper secondary school. He joined Mjølner’s youth team in 1988 and made his senior debut in 1989, playing a couple of top-division games as Mjølner moved between divisions.

Ellingsen made his Eliteserien debut in April 1996 for Bodø/Glimt, in a match where he briefly played three different positions: left back, left winger and right midfielder. He scored his first Eliteserien goal later that month against Start at Aspmyra. On 1 May 1996, he suffered a serious on-field injury after colliding with a Strømsgodset player. He was concussed, suffered amnesia, and had a life-threatening moment on the pitch, but was saved by Bodø/Glimt’s physiotherapist before being helped by EMTs. He missed football for about three weeks.

Ellingsen played in Bodø/Glimt’s 1996 Norwegian Cup final as a substitute, but the team lost to Tromsø. In the 1996–97 UEFA Cup, he played in both legs against Beitar Jerusalem and one against Trabzonspor, with Bodø/Glimt eliminated by Trabzonspor.

In the summer of 1998 he was approached by IK Start, and after lengthy talks the transfer was completed in January 1999. He moved with his family to Kristiansand. After the 2001 season he did not receive a new contract and retired from professional football. In the fall of 2002, Narvik FK asked him to help with a playoff for promotion to the Norwegian Second Division, and he helped Narvik win the playoff.

Outside football, Ellingsen enjoyed painting. After retiring, he worked as a graphic designer at Signshop.
