Bekah Walton
Bekah Walton (born 20 September 1999) is a British javelin thrower who competes for Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC. She comes from Etwall, Derbyshire, and attended John Port Spencer Academy and Repton School. Walton studied Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University. She started athletics with Burton Athletics Club to improve her netball, and joined England’s athletics pathway at 16 under coach David Turner.
Walton is a multiple British champion in the javelin. She won the British Championships in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. Her personal best is 59.76 metres, set in Chorzów in 2023.
International highlights include the 2021 European U20 Championships in Tallinn, where she set a personal best of 54.27m and finished fifth. She competed for Britain at the 2022 European Championships in Munich. At the 2023 European Athletics Team Championships in Chorzów, she threw 59.76m and won bronze.
Other notable results: she won the Loughborough International in May 2024 with 59.26m, and retained the British title in 2024. In 2025 she was named to the Olympic Futures Programme. She threw 59.38m to win the Loughborough International in May 2025, placed fourth with 58.63m at the European Team Championships in Madrid in June, and won the 2025 UK Athletics Championships in Birmingham with 58.44m on 3 August.
