Tan Le
Tan Le, born May 20, 1977, is a Vietnamese-born Australian entrepreneur who co-founded Emotiv, a company that makes EEG headsets. She was named Young Australian of the Year in 1998 and was listed among Australia’s 30 Most Successful Women Under 30 that year. She served as president of the Vietnamese Community of Footscray Association and helped charities and newspapers around Melbourne. Le believes EEG technology should be affordable for consumers to boost innovation from individuals and research groups. In February 2020, she published her first book, The NeuroGeneration, about the new era of brain enhancement. Her story was featured in the Hope section of the National Museum of Australia’s Eternity Exhibition.
